First Day of Preschool...

9.03.2008
Pre-K

here for us! We got up early and had some apple cinnamon oatmeal, some toast and fruit and got Zoey dressed in some of her new school clothes. Double checked her backpack for all the things that she needed for her first day...

Pre-K

and of course we had to take some photos. One of the biggest and most exciting things about today I think for Zoey is not only getting to go to school (we've been planning and talking and reading books about school for quite some time now it seems) and getting to spend time with her new teacher Mrs. Zimmerman or even getting to play with new friends as well as old...

Pre-K Shoes

but it also means that she gets to wear her new heart, light-up school shoes! These were picked out solely by her just for this occasion. She's been counting down the days until she could wear them to school.

The drop-off went well (I think I was more of a bundle of nerves than she was actually), and she barely noticed when I left the classroom. That's a good thing right? Now I'm just watching the clock until I go pick her up again! It almost seems surreal that she is going to school already...excited for what the year brings for all of us.

She is adorable. It's hard getting used to sending your little one off to school...it will get easier.

Jen

I miss Kohler so much. He started full day kindergarten this year and he loves it, and I'm devastated :( I'm so happy for him, and so proud of him. And I can't wait for him to have all of the adventures that school offers. But now what for me? How do I balance my life, and him, and Tate? Weird existential crisis happening at he Zuehlke household. Sounds like you are handling it well.

You love them and leave them. Weird isn't it.
