We Are a Family That Loves Nature

I'm trying to get back into creating more two-page layouts again. When I look back through my albums of layouts, it seems to be the two-page spreads that mean the most for some reason. Perhaps it's simply because I am able to get more photos on the page and therefore share more of the story, or maybe it's that I tend to journal more on my two-page spreads as well (not sure why that is either). Either way, I'm going to try to create more of them. This one is a recent favorite that was actually published in one of the latest issues of Creating Keepsakes. There are so many reasons of why it is that I love it. I love the photos, I love that we are all three in it, I love thinking back to that day and I love that it truly captures the fact that yes, we are a family that loves nature.

Supplies for Layout: Bazzill cardstock (kraft), October Afternoon pp, Making Memories pp + ribbon, Pink Paislee alphabet stickers, American Crafts alphabet stickers + felt shapes (hearts), Bookwerks word stickers, Heidi Grace Designs alphabet stickers, Jenni Bowlin Designs die-cut journaling spot, misc: sewing maching stitching

Great layout. I love using more pictures too... but never do 2page layouts. I find them diffficult. I find using several pictures difficult. I wish magazines showcased more of them, so that we could have a better sense of them and designs.

Great layout - I love the titlework area (great color). 2 pagers really slow me down as I have trouble cropping the photos to flow properly & meet the vision in my head

So neat, Jen...I shared a 2-pager on my blog as well, along w/ my wanting to get back into making them more often again :)

I LOVE this one, and love the sentiment as well!

It was neat to read you mentioning 2 page layouts. That used to be the only way I worked, I like to tell a complete story with 2 page layouts and I have gotten so far away from that.

Wonderful layout, special pictures and journaling and a wonderful card to boot! Just love your choice of colors, so like nature. Can hardly wait to see what you come up with next!
