I Love Scrapbooking!

According to You...

Yes, I do! And I am hopeful that one day this little girl will look back on these pages that I have created and recall little moments from her 'growing up' days and be appreciative that they are there and for her to one day possibly show her spouse or children or her children's children. Isn't that just amazing to think about? It makes my heart happy.

I got my December Mosh Posh kit in the mail yesterday and last night after Zoey was tucked in to bed I spent some time being crafty. Do you ever make a layout and just have to walk by it a couple of times after your done because you just love how it turned out? The first one here is one of those layouts for me...I just love, love, love how it turned out. I actually used sketch #5 from Creating Keepsake's December issue (which was based on Suzy Plantamura's take on "Mandy's Challenge" of using four featured products, on page 114 of the magazine).

For my next layout I used photos from Zoey's second Christmas celebration, way back in 2006! I always feel a bit intimidated scrapping photos from when she was just a little peanut because the actual quality of them isn't the greatest (this was before I had my fancy camera and knew a bit more about what I was doing photography-wise), but I know this is silly and that I just need to get over it because these are the moments as they were and I want to get them down onto my pages just like all the rest.

This was the Christmas that Zoey got her American Girl Bitty Baby doll from Grandma Sue and Grandpa Ross. Her reaction was just precious when she saw that little baby doll in that box. I swear, it made everyone's Christmas just seeing her loving that baby doll!

Looking at these old photos makes me realize just how much it is that she has grown...oh how I miss those chubbly cheeks and that baby fine hair!

It's kind of hard to tell from the photos but the embossed, dotted cardstock that is used for my background on this layout is shimmery in real life. It's just gorgeous and is a perfect match for making my old black and white photos seem a bit more high quality than they actually are.

These are both so gorgeous! Isn't scrapping the best and most worthwhile hobby ever! I know one day your daughter will be sooo grateful to look back on these fond memories of herself!

These are both fabulous! I know exactly what you mean about scrapbooking. I can't even imagine how wonderful it would be to have the everyday life of my parents/grandparents documented. Very cool!

Yup, I totally do that. I have a little easel that I put a newly completed layout on (if I really love it), and I just "happen" to wander past it fairly often. ha ha!
