quite simply it's a small out-building that looks like a barn that has been made into a beautiful dance studio. It was just magical pulling into the drive and discovering such a scene. Surrounded by flowers and trees and with the twinkling lights inside, hearing just the leaves rustle and the birds singing...it was just magical. The first day that they had class it was cooler and there was a fire going in the fireplace that's located in the studio and the little girls all stretched and danced in front of the warm, crackling fire.

The instructor, Ms. Dana is just the sweetest and is so good with the girls. She is so soft-spoken and kind...there is just a sense of peace that you gather from her just by being around her. Yesterday she had the girls dance outdoors in the gardens while she shared with them a story about 7 little princesses (there are 7 little girls in this class). She led them along a wooden log, had them leap over a pink sash that served as a gate, took them amongst the toadstools, tip-toed through the flowers, sat quietly on the stone steps and then led them back to the studio. It almost made me cry and I know that I would have had the other mothers not been there with me! I am so glad that Zoey gets to experience something as sweet and pure and as real as this and that dancing through the garden gate will forever be a memory of her childhood.

your daughter is so sweet - i can't wait for my ruby to get into dance - i know that's her interest (more than her sisters soccer:)
This is so sweet. I love the simple pleasures. Getting time to soak in nature and having a happy little child next to you can only be summed up as perfect.
I'm sorry I did not get a reply to your last comment posted. Yes I did know that your Dad's studio was across the street. We peeked in the windows hoping to find him, but we had to leave our hellos with the neighbor.
This post made me sad that our children don't know each other. This time I am so happy, but it makes me remember all my other happy memories.....it makes me think of all who are missing from the pville scene. Say Hi to all of your family for me!
What a cute place to have a dance studio! I just love that! Those pictures of your daughter are just too sweet. Love every one of them!
That is totally cool! I love what you have described! Sure beats waiting in the truck on the neighborhood street for flag football practice!
I love the way you write your posts, so magical. You'll need to do a layout with everything you described.
Im sure Zoey will always remember it!
Looks super magical! What a great place to take dance!
Wow, sounds absolutely lovely. How far is it from Cincinnati??
This is absolutely beautiful!! What a gift for your Zoey! She is so sweet....you practically brought me to tears too, thinking about what fabulous memories Zoey is building in her memory bank...definately the memories that you wish childhood should be filled with for all little girls!! I have hazy memories of going to creative movement classes and ballet when I was 4 and 5.....yes, those memories do survive....
