Scrapbook Layout Using AE's Pieces themed StoryKit

3.13.2019

This week has been spring break for the area public schools which means Ethan finally has time off. Which also means he promptly started getting sick on the first day of his break. Always seems to happen this way. Also, something's wrong with my car and it's been either dumping snow or raining non-stop. But we're not going to dwell on that stuff. You can't plan for life right?  Fun things that have been going on...Zoey got to hang out with a friend and also had a sleepover. Something she hasn't been able to do in quite awhile due to being busy with school, extra-curriculars and work. I've got an afternoon crop planned at my local public library this weekend and am working with my local scrapbook store on future happenings (super excited about this!). I finished up reading another book, this one by Louise Penny, Kingdom of the Blind. I'm currently on book 20 now for my Goodreads Challenge. Zoey and I have had some fun getting some baking in here and there and we all went to the theater one afternoon and enjoyed watching Captain Marvel together.

This afternoon was kind of a quiet one. Another rainy afternoon which was actually pretty perfect for spending downstairs in my craft room. I finally pulled out my StoryKit from Ali Edwards' kit Pieces from last month and put this layout together. I am really loving getting her kits in the mail every month. It's been a little gift of permission to play for me...allowing me some space and time to to be more intentional when it comes to my scrapbooking. Her themes always seem to touch on a story I want to share in my pages.

In addition to the StoryKit I also added in some patterned papers and elements from Christine Middlecamp's The Yellow Door Collection from Fancy Pants Designs. I used both sides of her Kitsch Fall patterned paper, some of her die-cut stickers and medallion stickers. Love the little pops of color her things from this collection add to my page.

Here's to health, better weather, a working vehicle, and more time for family fun and crafting!

XO,

Jen
