Happy Hearts...Love Summer Scrapbook Layout

11.12.2019

I had some fun the other day playing with a mix of some of the AE Story Kits, the new Read Collection and the special release from Studio Calico + Ali Edwards, the Good Old Days kit.
While putting this page together I got to thinking that I'm not loving how I have my AE products stored. Currently I have everything in the original plastic envelope that they come in and they are all stored in metal tubs which I will page through to get inspiration pulling things out as I see fit. I really am a scrapbooker though that has to see all the things out and in front of me to use them AND I enjoy mixing things up when and where it makes sense. It's safe to say that I'll be reorganizing my craft room in a bit to better reflect how I use my supplies best. My hang-up is that I still want a way to know where the items that I'm using came from (which specific kits) so I'm still in the thinking stage of my organization project. Let me know if you have any tips in this department!

I love these photos from an evening this summer that we grilled out and enjoyed a fire in the backyard. Always a good thing to have simple moments like this to look back on. The photos for this page were already assembled in a photo collage that I had created using Instagram. I just resized and printed the complete photo block on an 8x10 sheet of photo paper. I originally wasn't sure if I would be keeping the grid all together on a layout or cutting up the individual photos, but I opted to just print and use as is for this. Easy peasy!

We are slowly getting more snow here but it is very cold so it's nice to look back at some pictures of us enjoying some warmer times!

This has been a somewhat stressful week. Some things in the house needed tending to, water leak in the basement = a bit more excitement than I would like. Our dog also had to have his third eyelid removed due to a fast growing tumor. He came home this afternoon and is so very sad and is hurting. He has stitches that will be removed in about 13 days or so which means he'll be wearing his fancy cone hat for that long too. Poor baby!

Here's to some calmer days ahead!

XO,

Jen
