I usually do some sort of "New Year's" scrapbook layout to memorialize the start of a new year. I thought it would be fun to do one using pictures of both Zoey and I this year since (sob!) this may be the last year that she's officially home full-time before spreading her wings and starting whatever it is that her next chapter in life will be.
The inspiration for this layout came from watching today's Wednesday LIVE with Victoria Marie Calvin on YouTube. I had fun creating along with her this afternoon and this was the result. You can see her layout and view the project video here if you like.
You can see that I followed her basic design pretty closely I just added a bit more color, added machine stitching on my triangular papers instead of stamping, and used two photos, etc.
It was fun creating this page along with others during the LIVE...Victoria is so fun and laid back and super chatty and you get to see the live chat of those viewing as well. It almost makes it feel as though you're scrapping with friends which I love since I have very few scrapbook friends here locally. Sad, I know!
This is the first year in a long while that I haven't started the new year with a huge goal or a bunch of little goals. This year I'm going to just try and focus on following what feels right in life. I'm going to enjoy my daughter and just know that there will be tough things ahead as well as GOOD and I'm ready to embrace it all.
