Circle Mini-Album : A Fine Adventure

I'm not sure if this will end up being a class for Paper Studio next month or if it will just be a studio sample, but I love it and wanted to share it. For the book itself I used the Bare Elements Michael Circle Book by Creative Imaginations and using a craft knife I sliced the book binding apart so that my pages were all seperate from one another and then I punched holes in each page using my Crop-a-Dile and inserted a book ring.

I painted the edges of my chipboard pages using Claudine Hellmuth's acrylic paint and the patterned papers are by GCD Studio's. I used papers from both their Homespun Chic Collection as well as their Paris Nights Collection. The butterflies that are on the cover are actually from this stamp set by Hero Arts which I stamped on to cardstock using dye ink which I then went over with some 3D Crystal Lacquer to create an epoxy-like embellishment. I LOVE how they turned out and will be making more of my own embellishments using this technique in the future.

The book itself along with the journaling serves as a letter to my daughter sharing my hopes for her in the days to come. There are many different ways that you could create this mini...it could celebrate an event, an individual or you could capture a favorite memory.

Thought I'd also share that my wreath using Cosmo Cricket's Garden Variety collection is featured today on the Cosmo Cricket blog! I was super excited to have gotten an email from them this morning asking if they could share it!

Jen, that is so cute. I think little albums are great because it doesn't take much time to finish and is great for anyone.
