Hi all! I wanted to pop on here today quick and share how you don't have to stick with the patterns that come with the scrapbook kits from Close to My Heart. It's super fun and easy to change up the suggested layouts in the instructional packets that are provided with the kits.
This layout was created using the Celebrate Today, Close to My Heart Scrapbooking Kit. I loved the pinwheels in this kit, they were so fun to put together! The instructions with the kit suggested using Liquid Glass to assemble the pinwheels which I didn't have, so I used Sticky Squares from Scrapbook.com and they worked perfectly. I used one on the back and on the front of each pinwheel.
Below is the picture of what the kit suggested to do for using these elements on a page...I opted to use a kraft background for my layout, used two photos rather then the one, only used three pinwheels and actually put the confetti paper behind my die-cuts just to make them pop a bit more.
I love both designs and was originally intending on sticking pretty close to the original suggestion but ended up switching things up last minute. Just a reminder that you don't always have to follow the rules even with a scrapbooking kit that's "ready to go" for creating pre-made pages!
