Happy Day Scrapbook Layout

12.27.2020

I was just telling Zoey today that I wish that every day could be like the days immediately following Christmas Day. I did go in to work yesterday for a bit to unload the book drop and check-in some items to help out Monday's crew but today has been absolute heaven! We're eating up leftover homemade minestrone soup and potato rolls, Zoey's working on some embroidery (she got some new kits for Christmas) and I'm sitting across from her in my craft room scrapbooking and playing with my new (thanks, Mom!) Epson PictureMate printer.

Another thing that I've been enjoying about this break is updating what Instagram accounts I'm following on my creative account. One of my recent favorites to follow is Victoria Calvin. So much inspiration to be found!! In love with everything that she creates. So much so, that this layout was inspired by one of her beautiful pages

I used mostly Crate Paper products for this layout, the title is from American Crafts. I followed Victoria's basic design layout and then once I started in on the page things shifted around a bit and it became more of my own. I LOVE getting design inspiration from others and then making things my own. It's one of my favorite things about scrapbooking, creating, and telling our stories this way. I adore that we are a community based on sharing. So great!

I was fighting with my sewing machine earlier last week. My thread kept knotting up and I'd rip right through whatever I was trying to sew. I'm thankful it's playing nice with me again. I used just a simple zig zag stitch along the top and the bottom of my page on this one for just an added little something.

 Thanks for stopping by!

XO,

Jen
