Just for You

Happy Wednesday friends! I hope that where you are you are warm and safe. The weather has been so crazy around the world...I know many have been without power or worse. So far we've been pretty lucky here in Northern Wisconsin. We had a few days with bitter cold temps but are rebounding here this week pretty nicely.
For this layout here I had some fun using Crate Paper's Marigold collection by Maggie Holmes. I've had these papers and embellishments sitting around here for awhile now and am happy that I got to use them finally today.

My go-to in design is often times grids. For this page I knew I only had two pictures to share for this particular story but I knew I wanted to use multiple patterened papers and didn't want things to look "too busy". Insert the grid design here! I had a bit of fun adding a scalloped background border behind my grid to make things a bit more playful and fun.

This page tells the story of how every year for Christmas I get Zoey at least one "toy" or stuffed animal. She's 16 and I plan to do this every year just because it's important to know that you can always be a kid at heart and still have fun and have a playful spirit. She loved this stuffed mouse from Maileg this year. It has the cutest little embroidered mushroom on her dress too! So cute! Made my heart happy.

I felt like the whimsical animals and patterned papers went perfectly for this layout. Really happy with how it turned out.

Thanks so much for stopping by! If you want to see all of my recent projects be sure to follow me on my Instagram account at @jenniferamelia.makes.
