Button & Lace Card Tutorial

4.08.2007
1. 2.

Start with a piece of plain white card stock cut to size, (2 1/2 in. x 6 1/2 in.), a piece of patterned paper cut to size, (2 1/2 in. x 3 1/4 in.).
some lace, a button that coordinates with patterned paper and a ribbon. Use scalloped scissors
on both ends of white card stock strip to create a patterned edging.

3. 4.

Fold white card stock so that when card is folded the short end measures 2 3/4 in. from end to edge....Take your
patterned paper and cut one side, (the side that you want visible), with scalloped scissors.

5. 6.

Place and adhere patterned paper on the front inside portion of the card so that the front of
the patterned paper will be visible from behind the white card stock. Cut an additional piece
of white paper, (or card stock), to size, (2 1/2 in. x 6 in.) and fold in half.

7. 8.

Place the smaller piece of paper inside the card and use a paper piercer to pierce two holes
evenly spaced on the fold line of your card.

9. 10.

Insert ribbon into holes so that the ties will be visible on the outside edge of card. Place
adhesive, (I used small glue dots), on the front of the card where you want the lace to be placed
and then adhere lace to the front of the card and wrap around to the inside, (back), of card and
use adhesive to attach lace together.

Last step is to adhere button to the front of the card and to tie your ribbon! Now you have a
sweet and simple, yet classy little card! :) See previous post!
