This afternoon Zoey had a friend over to work on some things for school and then they hung out doing music stuff for awhile which meant I was able to spend some time in my craft room for a bit. Always a good thing.
I had some fun mixing up items in the most current StoryKit from Ali Edwards as well as some past kits and other odds and ends from my stash.
It's been awhile since I've worked on a two page layout and when I would they were usually two 12 x 12 pages. For this one I made one entire page a photo (8 x 10) which I layered little bits of things including my journaling right on the top of.
On the other page I created a grid and stitched the blocks together using zig-zag stitching on my sewing machine. I added some fun little odds and ends here and there on some of the blocks and added in another photo.
I kind of like the graphic look of the completed page.
I'm off now to get some dinner ready and perhaps bake up a special treat for the family! I'm currently reading the book Inspection by Josh Malerman, I'm looking forward to getting back to that too.
