Winter Wishes

1.02.2022

I pulled out an older scrapbook kit that I had gotten from Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine awhile ago (Peppermint Express, currently sold out) and had some fun putting these photos on to a page this afternoon! I started off using a sketch from PageMaps but the layout iteself ended up looking nothing like the sketch! This happens more often than not with me when I use a sketch...they're perfect jumping off points for me, especially for when I'm feeling stuck.

I love how this page turned out. I love that I was able to find papers and embellishments that worked with the color scheme of my photos...I wasn't sure that was going to happen with these pictures since my daughter and her friend have so many different colors going on here!

The die-cuts and papers from Bella Blvd are perfect...and the white on white snowflakes and cardstock really add a little something special. Since I've got so many colors and patterns going on here I kept the title subtle using clear acrylic words over the white cardstock.

These pictures are gems! Love that there is hot chocolate dribbled on Zoey's chin! Yay, for childhood!

I even did a bit of stamping on this page! Whoa! :) I'm going to try and do different things on my pages here in 2022. More stamping on layouts and adding a bit of mixed media here and there. Double pages too for when I've got lots of good photos. Hooray for personal creative challenges!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy New Year!

XO,

Jen
